Hi tom!

I came across your app on displaying flickr images using processing, specifically this:” http://www.tom-carden.co.uk/p5/flickr_rainbow_links_fixed/applet/index.html

but i get this error: “unexpected token: Enumeration”

would you mind helping me? Thanks in advance!

Hi ry,

I’d look around the Processing forum and site for more recent code that uses Flickr. The rainbow app has suffered from quite a lot of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_rot

It’s an old applet so lots of things have changed in Processing since I wrote it. Processing has its own XML library now, and a draw function instead of a loop function. I used the replicate function to draw images quickly, but image drawing is much more efficient by default now. It also needed a php proxy to run online but with Processing.js you’d be able to run it in a browser directly. I used an enumeration to loop over XML but that’s not needed in Processing because you can get an array.

Hope that helps, but I don’t have plans to revisit that code anytime soon so apologies if not!
