Guest-blogging at infosthetics.com
I've been guest-blogging recently at infosthetics.com. I started with a post about wikinvest.com and more recently one about a map of European genes that turned into a mini-rant about academic research on the web.

I’m gaggin’ for a hip infovis that presents option implied volatility. This is the amazingly-informative, rich metric through which the market establishes a prediction on future stock return (price) variance. Would give a whole extra dimension to the Wikinvest graphs, like “how on-the-fence was the market just before a big stock move?” …alas, real-time option data is very expensive.
