Wordpress Questions

Still finding my feet with Wordpress - it seems powerful enough, but also has a "sticky tape and glue" feel about it.  I guess it will feel more mature as it tends towards 3.0.  The Blogger import process was a bit bumpy because the built-in one didn't work.  I've written up what I had to do instead, but it's a bit confusing so I probably won't post it here.  I also messed up the date stamps on my comments and haven't had a chance to fix them yet.

Does anyone know if there are plug-ins that will:

For what it's worth, I'm already using Ultimate Tag Warrior, Widgets (plus Feeds Widget, del.icio.us Widget and Ulitimate Tag Warrior widget) and Post Control and Draft Control.

I don’t know that answers to your questions, but I’m curious to hear the answers. I assume you’ve looked in the Plugin lists at WordPress.org?

What do you mean by “style my feeds so they make sense in a non-feed-aware browser”? Feedburner allows people to see your feed in a regular browser window, and there is a plugin that helps you set it up. I haven’t used the plugin, but it’s supposed to work well.

Consider the plugin SpamKarma. It’s quite good at keeping the spammers away from your comments.

Yes, exactly like Feedburner but I don’t want to point my feed there as I’m not sure how I’d get it back if I changed my mind :)

If I get a comment spam problem then I’ll check out SpamKarma. So far Akismet is working well, I just need to turn off comments on the old posts so it doesn’t have to work unnecessarily hard!

I’ll have another look at the plugin lists, but I didn’t spot anything that claimed to deal with enabling/disabling comments, and certainly not on a time limit.

Thanks!
