Plimpplampplettere

Because Mike is right, radii are beautiful, I cooked up a little sketch I'd been thinking about to show connections between the tags in my del.icio.us links.

Posts are dispersed on the time axis, left to right, and a circle is drawn connecting posts which share tags. The circle is drawn with a lower alpha value, so darker circles mean that more than one tag is shared. It's not that meaningful, save from showing that I use more tags per post than when I started using del.icio.us (nothing a quick graph wouldn't show too), but it's a pleasing pattern never the less.

Plimpplampplettere, by the way, is almost certainly made up, and not really the Dutch word for "skimming stones" (Thanks to Ron for clarification).

Can you please now reverse-engineer your images towards the “shape of song” engine, so we can finally hear what you had in mind while you were tagging? Probably theres a hidden composer waiting to be heard!:D

Aha, good plan! But to play it properly would take 2 years!I think the Shape of Song originally used midi files as its source, so I’d have to write a musical phrase for each tag.Imagine the horror… the horror!

Well of course since all of us are totally untalented musicians we will use “the computer” for doing that - In adaption of a recent post from here(http://www.eskimoblood.de/index.php?p=69, sorry its in german and explaining how to abuse delicious and iTunes to get Music videos) we will use it in this way http://del.icio.us/your tag]/system:filetype:mp3 to leech the according sounds to it and tadaaaa an new Mozart is born!
